It was dry, dusty, and desolate. The winds whipped particles up in small flurries before flinging them into Teemo's face, he dusted himself off with his wrist. Stupid sand... Teemo didn't like sand, it's course, it's rough, it's irritating, and it gets everywhere. The city was alive though, bustling and jerking and moving. The myriad voices of the people mixed into a constant hum of activity, with no words distinguishable from the rest.
Teemo moved quickly, his training and a little Yordle luck allowing him to pass through the crowd without getting stepped on or tripping people up. He'd slipped through that barren sheet of ice to wind up in a sun-scorched expanse of sand, with this being the first city he'd encountered upon arriving. Was this world more of the same? Empty and harsh? He pulled down an alleyway, rubbing the dust out of his fur once more and permitting himself a small, frustrated whine at all this damn sand itching him. After a short break, a minute at most, he'd rejoin the crowd. He was a stranger in a strange land, and chose patience and observation for now.

It was a new world, certainly. Serraph didn't need to wake to understand this undeniable fact. He could feel it in his blood, the black ink that gave his body the proper instruction to function. There was something about this place. The pale Arrancar squeezed his left hand, feeling the inkish blood pulse beneath the surface of his papery flesh. It all felt real. No longer was his body made of the omnilinium all things were composed of in the last dimension he dwelled. This was satisfying, but it also meant he wasn't as durable before.
Again his body was made of paper. Paper made of strong spiritual energies, but paper nonetheless. Much care would be needed to make sure he didn't accidentally damage himself. Still, it all had its benefits. He felt normal again, as close to human he could realistically ever be. This was evident enough as he weaved through the daily commuting crowd, with none detecting or sensing how different he actually was.
His right hand clenched the oak handle of the umbrella he had bought just moments prior. Its shade shielded him from the sun's angry rays and provided comfort to his outer layer of "Flesh" The sun was dangerous. Prolonged exposure would dry his outer layer up and cause it to crumple and discolor at the very least. Perhaps it would make him shed. Serraph Shuddered at the thought.
His eyes caught movement, swift movement unlike the crowd around him. Curiously he'd follow the scurrying sound to its source, and watch the small, fuzzy creature weave through the crowd with such swiftness. "Interesting~", he thought aloud, before following it. The way it moved, the way it carried itself, and the manner clothing told him it was no mere beast, but it wasn't exactly human, obviously. The Arrancar followed it to the alleyway it ducked into, keeping his distance by simply standing inside its entrance.
"What manner of creature are you, little one?", his voice sang delightfully, his idle hand resting lazily on his hip. "Are you lost?"

It looked like a human, didn't smell like one, and it gave him a familiar feeling of difference. It was wholly other, though it looked like a he, curious but potentially dangerous. Teemo looked up to the person, for it, he, was clearly a person, and one who took note of him as well! Clearly this was a person to watch, as it takes a special kind of person to spot Teemo like that, he'd need to exert all manner of his craft to hide from this one if need be...
"Well, it depends on what you mean by lost." Teemo was lost. "This isn't my home, and I'm far, far from it. I'm not in any trouble, though. I'm used to being away from home." Something about this situation put Teemo on edge. He had his blowpipe on hand, a noxious dart already loaded at the mouthpiece, but this being had him seemingly trapped in the alleyway. That sense of other had his fur bristling, too...
"I'm a Yordle, by the way... Only one I've seen since I've come here." Best not to give his name just yet, he wanted to find out just who he was dealing with before he handed out something like that.
