The Crystal Expanse is a frozen wasteland made up of crystalline ice that is transparent meaning you can see everything and everyone in the expanse. It is home to various ice monsters that evolved in the cold climate and at the center is the Downward Spiral. Underneath the expanse is an ancient and advanced civilization named Kari which created a super weapon that caused the area to freeze over centuries ago.
The Crystal Expanse lays at the center of Jherra. Meaning anyone who wants to travel north or south must first cross the expanse and endure the below zero temperatures and the ice monsters that plague the area. Because of the appearance of the tower many countries are flocking to the expanse to learn more about the Downward Spiral. |
